Natural progression

There's a natural progression of our perception of how you see things in life. We all start out with a basic foundation on perspectives in life influenced by parents, family, friends, and social influences. Refined as we get older through life experiences.  Everyone progresses and changes their perception of life in varying degrees. Your perception of life determines your happiness and success.  Happiness is success.
Small insights developed over time based on your experiences. We all expect that we'll live to be old and gray. Someday the realization of your own mortality will change your perspective. Simple things will become more precious and more fulfilling, verses the years of everyday concerns of the working life were simple things were less important. Mortality... when you are closer to the end of your life verses the beginning you reflect on your life and change your perspectives.  Depending how happy you are in life determines how drastic your perception changes. Mortality... Thinking about it... is it a natural thing or an unspoken taboo subject... death. Most don't think about death until you are older.
The moral to the story?  Live a happy life... Appreciate everything in your life, your family, your friends, your experiences,  and especially the simple things in life... nature. Old and gray will get to you soon enough. Perhaps your own mortality will confront you before you are old and gray. Getting upset over things out of your control effects your happiness. Be sure to not let negatives steal your happiness.
Live a happy life... Make the best of everything.  Be happy.  You may not see old and gray. In any event... Your own mortality will confront you.  Reflections of your life should give you great comfort, as well as peace and happiness for the rest of your days.  Live well.
Thanks to everyone that influenced my life and made it meaningful. Thanks to family. Thanks to the love of my life Shelly that completed my happy life.
I remember that when I was young,  the class was asked what we wanted to be when we grew up... The answers were varied and as you might expect.  Policeman,  fireman, doctors, astronauts. When I was asked... my answer was "happy". The teacher said that I didn't understand the question. Then upon reflection she agreed that this was a perfect aspirations... Being happy at what ever I would choose to be in life.  And I was.  Nothing is more important than being happy in life.  And with few exceptions... It's entirely up to you.  Perception is subjective and it all depends on your attitude and how you live your life. Again... Live well.
