Getting around

Getting around on the Seven Seas Lagoon & Bay Lake. Mass transportation is provided by the big ferries that travel from the Ticket & Transportation Center and Magic Kingdom. In many ways quicker, than the express monorails when its really busy. A nice relaxing trip across the SSL to enjoy the views. What will you see? Views of the three hotels... The Polynesia,  The Floridian, & The Contemporary Resorts... Nature & wildlife around the islands and coastline... and of course the slow approaching view of Magic Kingdom its self. Again, mass transportation. Then there's the big motor launches that carry quiet a few guests and make the rounds between Magic Kingdom and the Bay Lake  Resorts... The Contemporary,  The Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness Campground. Again a nice relaxing trip across the waterways to observe nature & wildlife.  My personal favorite is the small more personal motor launches... generally with only about 25 guests or less, and closer to the water line, it's my preferred way to boat the Disney waterways. There were many times that only a few guests were on board, and several times that we were the only people on board... kinda like our own personal transport. When staying at Magic Kingdom waterways resorts the boats are always a good option verses the bus transports.  Our preferred resort? Wilderness Lodge. Boat launches to Magic Kingdom & other resorts for dining. Note: When leaving Magic Kingdom at closing transport to the lodge is always the best. Catch a launch which is generally not too crowded, or catch the bus which is also much less crowded with quicker turn around bus times. Buses to other resorts are generally much more crowded, and have waiting lines of more than one bus load. The Lodge has buses to every other park, other resorts,  as well as Downtown Disney (yes, I'll probably always call it Downtown Disney no matter how many times the name changes). Plus there's always personal water craft rentals to motor around the waterways and go fishing.
