Favorite places to stay and play at Disney.
If you're favorite place to play is Magic Kingdom,
Our favorite place to stay is Wilderness Lodge right on bay lake.
First, the lodge is first rate and one of our top five of all the Disney resorts.

You have the convenience of boat transportation to Magic Kingdom via a big motor launch or a small schooner launch. They can take you to not only Magic Kingdom but also the other resorts for lunch or dinner. The Contemporary, The Polynesian, The Grand Floridian, and the wilderness campground. You can also pick up the monorail at the Contemporary to go to the resorts, or transfer to the Epcot monorail.
Bus transports are easily accessed at the front of the lodge to go anywhere. And when leaving Magic Kingdom at closing ( if you don't take the boats, which we prefer most if the time), the bus is usually a good choice to get home quickly... first, the resort is close to the park, so the turn around time is quick in the buses. Second, the premium resorts seem to have priority availability over the economy resorts. The bus wait lines for the economy resorts is also full buses and most times the wait is more than one bus.
So there you have it... If Magic Kingdom is your favorite place to play... The Wilderness Lodge is a great place to stay.
