Stay and play DAK... Disney Animal Kingdom.
If Animal kingdom is your favorite place to play...
Animal Kingdom Lodge is a good choice.
Another first rate Disney Resort. Atmosphere is again wonderful, the resort is beautiful, and some wildlife animals, the tame ones, can be viewed right at the resort... Some right from your room. All transportation is via buses. If going to Animal Kingdom Park, its a short trip via bus. Going to other parks, well, it's as far as you can get from Magic Kingdom, so the bus ride is longer, much longer if the buses are crowded. Note, the buses are always crowded. Oddly, for a premium resort, the bus transportation usually involves a longer wait for the buses both going from the resort, and returning to the resort.
The Lodge is an A+ for atmosphere... but for us, we care not for the buses ( except to go to Animal Kingdom). The Minnie Mini-vans are good choice here but the most expensive due to its location and distance from everything.
So... The lodge is a great place, but for us, transportation has something to be desired.
