Memory and getting older. The order you get, it seems the less you remember the new stuff. Old stuff, even things from when you were a kid, crystal clear memory. What I did last week? ... not so much. What I did last month? ... I got nothing.
It seems that memory is kinda like digital storage... Long term memory takes up all the permanent space, short term memory gets the least amount of space and keeps getting rewritten over and over again... hence... can't remember the new stuff... except for today, and maybe yesterday. So goes life ... it is what it is.
Funny how you can remember almost everything from growing up... right down to each episode of your favorite TV shows. Yep, still remember each episode and what happened. The movie I saw last month... again, I got nothing. But there is a benefit to the new stuff... You can watch it all over again and enjoy it as much as you did the first time, as if you never saw it to begin with. Important stuff... Ya gotta write it all all down... and then remember where you put it. I need a couple dozen tara gigs of memory in the old grey cells.
Here's to some old memories.
