It's that wonderful time of the year when the spirit of giving brings family and friends together for the holidays. That same spirit... well... perhaps not exactly the same spirit... will continue well into next year. Donations will continue to be made to health insurance companies, medical facilities, doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies , drug stores, and specialists. Ahhh... the joy of giving.
But me thinks they enjoy "taking"... Much more than I enjoy giving.
Hence the phrase of giving until it hurts. Ouch!
The system.... You spend the first 60 years of your life being healthy while they collect big premiums for health care, and pay little out on your behalf. Then when you need it the most, they burden you with premiums that you can't afford to pay, to get insurance you can't afford to use, and if there is an emergency you will be left with monstrous bills that you can't afford to pay. Or as most if us do... You simply go without needed care, and without medications. The greed of government and big business. Life in these here United States. Then there's those that get totally free medical care... Never having worked or paid anything into the system all their lives. Why? The welfare vote. Politicians maintain welfare to get the 8% welfare vote to keep them in office so the system continues. Sad... Moist would even say deplorable or disgraceful.
