Opening weekend of XFL Football

 

It is what it is... Up and coming?

It's clearly not a prestigious as the NFL

and not as refined as College Football

(but it's just starting up)

Some interesting game play changes. 
There's  the kick off change.

Eliminated the 1 point extra kick after touchdown.

The 1-2-3 extra point

 conversion is different.

1 point from the 2 yard line. 
2 pts from the 5.

3 pts from the 10.

The out of bound punt start at the 35 yard line.

(if out of bounds inside the 35)

Can't say I care for the miked up play calls

or the announcers explaning the upcoming play. 
I like the coverage of the replay officials.

Faster game.... incomplete passes do not stop the clock 

Unless inside the 2 minute warning.

Only 1 foot down when going out if bounds.

Really strange... rather than onside kick...

Kicking team after scoring has option

Of 4th down & 15 from their 25 yard line.

Not sure I like yours one. 

Then there's the general appearance uniforms.

Gives the appearance of college uniforms 

( doesn't look as refined as the NFL)

Then there's the whole getting use to

Unusual Team Names.

Kinda like getting use to the NFL Commanders

(btw... The name Commanders... sucks)

Of course,  smaller crowds limits the excutement level.

Early season = less practice times

equals not so sharp game play. 
Not at NFL level.

Not at College level.

But its early!  

But it is Football !

Hope it does well. 
It's a tapering off from NFL Football

reducing the withdrawal stage. 

Clearly beats other choices. 
Basketball, soccer, & golf.
