How far?

It's funny,  how far we have come.
How far technologically we have come since the 1950s.

It's equally amazing how younger generations
say how hard they have things.
How nothing is ever enough.
How difficult everything is.
How unfair dealing with life is.

With all the information and resources at their fingertips.
Computers, smart phones, the internet.
Alexia & Suri.

The 1950s information center
School work starts here... in the library.

First you have to go to the library.
Then go to the card catalog to locate the books.

Then locate the books... Find the right book.
Open the books to find the right places/information.
Then write that information down.
Then get back home to hand write your findings.
Then turn in your work at school.

This also applied to personal information & reading.

They also think it's cumbersome to use google GPS maps
on their smart phones.

The 1950s... traveling to unknown places.
You had to get a road map.
You had to know where you were at all times
to coordinate your travel as to the map.
( if you didn't know where you were, the map was useless)
Then sometimes you still had to stop,  find someone,
and ask for additional directions.
Then look for elusive street names and address numbers
To find the exact location.

YEP... THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS TODAY
REALLY HAVE IT BAD.
