Disney overcrowling accidents.
At one time, long, long, ago... Before crowds at Disney got so bad as to affect guests experience... The wait times were much, much, shorter ... And those that had Mobility disabilities could rent electric scooters to get around. In the past getting around with electric scooters was fairly easy. Now with crowds getting out of hand, with guests walking elbow to elbow to get around, the use of electric scooters is almost completely impossible. So numerous accidents involving guests that are walking and electric scooters has greatly increased. Just one more aspect of how over crowding negatively affects guest experience. Electric scooters that enabled physically impacted guests to get around are currently being banned. Completely understandable given the huge crowds. Regular wheel chairs is now the only option to handicap guests. So it's not a catastrophe... just an adjustment. Not that getting around would be any easier... But it would clearly be less dangerous since those riding the scooters are hitting and injuring walking guests in ever increasing numbers. In some cases appearing to be borderline road rage. So banning is the next logical step.
I once needed an electric scooter, and it was sometimes hard to get around even with lesser crowds. Extra patience to get around was absolutely necessity. Can not imagine trying to do this with todays crowds. I have also been on the other side.... Walking and being hit by an electric scooter driver... Along with several near misses throughout the day. So scooters were a minor problem in years past... Today, not a practical solution with the crowds.
