VERSES GASOLINE
There's all sorts of information about the pros and cons of electric vehicles. Most of the ideas about saving the environment or saving gasoline costs & polution is very questionable.
The back side: saving the cost of gasoline with never be recovered by the extra cost of the vehicle, the cost to charge the vehicle from home, and the increased cost to charge the vehicle away from home. Not to mention the exuberant cost to replace the battery when needed. And while you are not putting pollution into the environment by running a gasoline vehicle, there are extra factors that create pollution to make the electricity to charge the vehicle.
Then there's the inconvenience of having to charge the vehicle away from home on trips. A 10 minutes time to fill the car with gas, verses a several hour delay to charge the car to continue your trip. Charging times from 4-8 hours. Plus locating charging stations. Note... Hotels do not offer charging stations.
Then there's the battery fires that plague the news.
Funny how when you talk to people that have an electric vehicle... They always say how much they are saving on gasoline... As if they are coming out financially ahead. Or they say how they are doing their part to save the environment.
PLUS... THEY ARE BUTT UGLY!
