So how many versions does one person need? 
There's the original...

Then along comes something new... 

Pick a favorite

Then along comes more versions...

Pick another favorite? 
Where does it end?

After all... It's the same basic game...

just the names have changed.

But it's STILL the same game. 

Still a challenge? 
Still exciting? 
Still fun?

Nevertheless... Here's another version.

My game play with the grand kids. Changing the rules is the key to an modernized updated game play. Speed up the play and some more realistic dollar figures. Must go around the board once before buying anything.  Each person is allowed to buy two different properties exclusively. So once you buy any property color of a property... It's your exclusively.  Once each play has their two exclusive properities the rest is open season. Utilities & transportation are open season from the beginning.

Free parking always has $500 in it along with all fines & taxes. When won... another $500 is put in the pot. Pass go, collect $200, land on it collect double, $400. Extra money makes it easier to buy and speed up the game.  Side one... everything is doubled... purchases & rents.

Utility fees are a set amount. 
Prolonged negotiations when collecting large rental fees from broke players... only prolongs the end. We use one fee pass, need a second,  the player is out. And no matter what... a time limit... like 90 minutes... who ever has the most accumulated wealth... wins. The sticky parts of post-a-notes work well to change the values on the property cards.

Easy! More fun... and faster games!  

Ps: We have the original version from the beginning of time.

A National Parks version from 20 years ago.

And

A Disney Version in Collector Tin from 12 years ago.

( passing down to great grand kids)

NO DOUBT OF NO CONSEQUENCE. 

IN THE ELECTRONIC AGE.

The Good News

The Good News... but first the Bad News.

Someday, Earth will be uninhabitable,

Much like Mars is today. 
The Good News... At least for us...

None of us will be around to endure it,

Or the drastic changes leading up to it.

The hypothesis:

Mars was once in the sweet spot for life.

( life migrated to Earth ? )

Earth is currently in the sweet spot.

( enjoy  )

Venus will eventually become the sweet spot.

( will human life survive to migrate to Venus? )

And earth will be like Mars is today. 

The nearest Earth like planet...

500 light years away.

So even if we had the technical ability...

Earth will parish generations before 

anyone would complete the journey. 

Just something to think about...

Not as if we could do anything about it.

being found in frozen & unearthed locations.

The fear... another out of control pandemic?

Historically large percentages have been wiped out 

by plagued from bacteria and viruses. 

Just something to think about.

Dreams

Dreams... 

Much can be say about those dreams when you are asleep.  Most dismissed as just something that just happens for no reason. Some good,  some not so good.  Some peaceful, some stressful or unsettling. Nevertheless,  easily dismissed. But should they all be dismissed?

Where do dreams come from? Conscious memories or unconscious manifestations of things beyond the normal human experience? Messages deeply encoded in our DNA from long ago? Or messages somewhere beyond things we do not understand and do not yet know of?  Spirits... Angels... Entities... Cosmic Forces... watching and sending messages to bring a sense of awareness of things... or perhaps of things to come... premonitions... To give us insight or keep us safe?  Messages to the unconscious mind that govern some of our feelings or actions for our overall wellbeing... perhaps even survival. 

Dreams as premonitions that change our lifes course to protect us. 
Or bring an ominous warning of something bad that could happen. 
So... You change what you were going to do, or when... Later to learn of a tragic accident that could have involved you.  
Or if it involved someone else... Do you warn them? And appear to be less than sane? And if you do nothing... Can you live with the consequences of not acting to help others. So,  what do you do? 
Family and friends... You instigate or plan something to influence them to change the course they are on.  Delay, change, or alter their plans... changing their possible intersection with a negative destiny.

For others... They are unfortunately left to their own destiny.   

Perhaps it's all simply nothing at all.
Or... Perhaps it's everything.

Another great unknown... how and why?

Down turn

Business Down Turn.  

Many businesses experience down turns.

Layoffs are nothing new.

Disney has enjoyed the boom, post pandemic.

And Now the down turn as attendance declines, 

Negatively impacted by elevated prices.

Has the bubble burst?

Prices that went up to control attendance.

( at least that was the reasoning)

Attendance wasn't controlled

(long waits and huge crowds)

So as attendance declines...

Will prices decline?

Probably not.

But cut backs are coming. 
Massive Disney layoffs.

Three rounds of layoffs 

7,000 to start off

2nd one larger 

3rd being referred to as a  "bloodbath".
