The unexplained... At least by science...
Countless discoveries from a time long ago can not be explained by science. Archaeology deals with fact. Religion deals with truth, or at least their version of it. The open minded individuals deal with possibilities... probabilities... when all other explanations fail. Archaeology presents their findings... looks for acceptable explanations, and when nothing can be rationalized to explain the mystery, is simply let unexplained or theorized. Of course while theories are put forth as to the unexplained, science and religion discounts any theories that can not be absolutely proven. Of course it's rather ironic that religion discounts or condemns theories or beliefs that can not be proven. Still... The unexplained exists everywhere. Ancient beliefs say that "star people" are the explaination. And while this ancient belief is shared by... well, ancient civilizations the world over... handed down through the generations... this is discounted as not being credible by science and religions. Yet... here they are. Somewhere in all of this is philosophy, that is somewhere between fact, truth, and theories, smoother over into almost practical beliefs. Go figure.
