Late November... Nothing else to say...
Really, nothing else to say. Thirty days of Halloween has come and gone. Indian summer has come and gone. Daylight savings time is gone. Fall colors have come and gone. 65°/45° days / evenings have come and gone. So what's left? 45° days... 25° nights... Cold and colder. Yep... Chilled to the bone.
Grey cold days, bare trees and dead leaves lettering the ground. Everything looks dead... at least for another four months. Seems like an eternity. Beyond that there is only gloom and doom, cold and barren farm fields. The completely dried and dead feed corn stalks still dot the countryside laying testament to the feeling that everything is indeed dead. One last saving grace before it too fades away... As the sun goes down there are still some spectacular sunsets over the mountains. But moments later... Darkness closes in fast. It's going to be a long dark and cold evening... And an even longer night. Time to throw another log into the fireplace and enjoy its warmth while basking in the glow of the fire. At least a good fire sets the atmosphere to lift your spirits. Y'all have a good evening. Stay warm and cozy.
