The Fountain

The Fountain of Nations at Epcot

The Fountain of Nations signaled the opening of Epcot.  Nations from all over the world brought water for the ceremony, and with much fanfare symbolicly poured the water into the fountain, one by one. Since then it has been the symbol of those nations and was a Kodak photo site where families would pose year after year in front of the fountain. The water from nations around the world poured never ending, cascading into the pool below.  Water jets shot columns of water high into the air, timed to themed music... And at night,  colorful lights brought the fountain to a nighttime spectacular show.

Now... The only way to see the Fountain if Nations is in photographs... The fountain with some of its surrounding stores has been demolished.  Sometimes it's hard to understand some of things that once were,  are gone forever.

Here's a few photos.
