Abandoned. Perhaps it's just where I grew up, but nothing was totally abandoned. Old dilapidated houses, falling apart beyond repair... but houses full furnished even personal belongings, just abandoned? Seems amazing that no one needed of could have sold the belongings or furniture. Seems like such a loss.
