Changing the world? One monument at a time.
Really?
Well, ya can't fix stupid.
Most of the time its not the root cause they're fighting for, its the stupid way they try to get the message across.
Again... You can not fix stupid.
Of course I'd change my view on this if anyone can show me anything positive that results for their efforts to eradicate history. Will one less person die? Will even one less crime be committed? The answer... a resounding no!
Being a host of terms ranging from irrational to irresponsible, what have they accomplished? Nothing!
They have created social unrest and more social division.
Why? Because they are offended by things that happened over 150 years ago.
What offends them and what do they want changed?
Anything to do with the confederacy... civil war battlefields, monuments, and history itself. They want towns and streets renamed if they honor anything to do with the south and the confederacy. They also want to condemn the founding fathers of the country (most owned slaves) and want our currency redone to remove their memory. George Washington owned slaves all his life (reportedly over 200). National monuments in DC, according to those that are offended, need to be renamed and repurposed to prominent people that don't own slaves. Most of the founding fathers and many signers of the Constitution owned slaves. Activists would have their memories and all things that honor them to be eradicated.
As I said... you can not fix stupid.
Oh course, I'm truly not sure why authorities are bowing down to their wishes. Bowing down under the threat of violence.
Again... you can not fix stupid.
Then there's the media that supports their cause despite the violence and destruction they cause. Again, you can not fix stupid.
Why does society yield to those that are claim to be offended, when they incite social unrest and violence to support their cause.
Leaders and authorities need to have a back bone and say enough is enough.
But they won't... they don't want to seem insensitive to their feelings and what offends them.
Again... you can't fix stupid.
