From my earliest youth. I remember the days after labor day turning cool, sometimes even chilly... and then there was the times when summer like weather re-occured late into September.. it was called an Indian Summer ☀. By now we had usually had the first good chill, perhaps even a light frost, and the trees were well into changing colors. This year is a little different, very few trees have yet to change color, most are still green. And late September is certainly revisiting the temperatures if summertime, which truly have never left this season. Indian Summer generally occurred after the fall colors have begun, this year is different. But still a welcome extension of summer. Even up in the mountains, very few trees have even started to change colors.
