While traveling today we stopped for lunch at the Genghis Grill on Rt 3 just off Rt 50 in Maryland. Shelly had been there last week and thought I'd like it.
Outstanding! You get seated and the waiter gets you you bowls. Metal mixing bowls that come in three sizes. We selected the medium bowls. Once you have your bowl you go to the fresh selection bar to pick out your ingredients. First the meats... I got beef, chicken, bacon, pork, and sausage. Next the spices selected from the numerous spice bowls with mini spoons... I got dragon salt, ginger, pepper, and a few others. Then you select your veggies... a good selection... I got spinach, peas, red onions, yellow onions, tomatoes, and banana peppers. It all goes into your bowl that you pile up as high as you like. Then you make your sauce selection... I picked teriyaki sauce. Then you proceed to the cooking station, then select two sides to go into your stir fry... I got fried rice and spiral pasta. They cook it up with all your ingredients then bring it to your table. Wow... Simply delicious. A real shame we don't have one closer to home. So if you get the chance to eat at a Genghis Grill... Treat yourself the a delightful meal. It blew me away.
