Tv Hawaiian

Tv Hawaiian Style

Once upon a time... growing up I've always liked tv shows that were made in Hawaii. Going back to the 60s with  "Hawaiian Eye" a detective drama set in Hawaii. Then the original Hawaii Five-O and Magnum Pi.

Flash foward 50 years...
More recently the revisited remakes of Hawaii Five-O and Magnum Pi were my favorite shows.

Sadly Five-O came to an end. Magnum was cancelled but was picked up by another network. So one was saved. But  then cancelled by NBC.

CBS having all the facilities in place in Hawaii from Five-O,  they developed NCIS Hawaii. Speculation on the cast was all over the place. Speculation was that some of the cast from Five-O would crossover. So, with much disappointment, the new show, NCIS Hawaii started with a cast of relatively unknowns. Took a bit of getting used to, but eventually I warmed up to them. So now, after enjoying the show... It's abruptly cancelled. It was never going to be as popular as Five-O, but still enjoyable.  Now gone.

The Era of tv shows made in Hawaii has ended once again.
Don't think I'll be around for another round of shows in Hawaii,
say in another 50 years.

New shows in Hawaii?

Well... We'll see.
A similar remake of Baywatch?
