The perception of time is something completely different. Not logical, yet part of the human experience. Coupled with memories, the perception of time becomes very irrational. Theres the perception of time going fast, or extremely slow.
The perception of events in time, some unusually seem so long ago, while older events seem be have been not so long ago. An unexplained phenomenon of the human existence. So is time really completely linear? So what sets time as we know it? The daily sunrise & sunset... clocks keep track of every minute. The change of seasons... calenders break it all down... season by season, days, months, years, centuries.
The theory of time travel. Being able to travel to a time in the past or in the future. Back in time is easy to understand... its already happened.

Going into the future, things that have not yet happened is hard to understand. Unless we currently live timeline that is already history, and timelines in the future merely a history beyond our time. And where or when is the actual real "current" time somewhere in our distant future. Is our current time the distant past history of future timelines?
Too much to think about... I'm currently tasked with knowing the time and day of the week... Today.
OMG... its Tuesday May 7th... just yesterday it was April.
Just something to think about... or perhaps not...to maintain your own sanity.
