Red shirts

Red Shirts  

I've always had an aversion to wearing red shirts

pretty much all of my life. 
Never really thought about it much, 

just don't like red shirts. 

Then recently it came to me... 

in a moment of complete clearity,

which usually happens first thing after waking up. 

"Red Shirts"... 

You are probably going to die. 
So where did this come from? 
Growing up in the 1960s we watched a lot of television. 
One of my favorite shows was Star Trek.

Funny how you subconscious mind remembers

things and effects your psyche...

that develops into certain unconscious behaviors. 

Crewmen that wore Red Shirts

were going to die.

If they were not a regular character on the show,

and they wore a red shirt...

THEY WERE GOING TO DIE. 

Funny how that psychologically implanted on me

and affected and my behavior the rest of my life. 

But it was always an absolute...

But still  almost a certainly. 

Or perhaps it is simply...

I don't like the color red. 

My favorite overall color is green.

But recently my favorite colors for clothes

is dark gray and black.

Probably because I don't have to worry

about mismatching colors when getting dressed.

Go figure.
