Hollywood

Hollywood
Some of the things that happen in Hollywood seem to be left over from the 1940s era. Blacklisting actors. Some are completely understandable... Some are surprising... But all seem to be fun another place in time. Perhaps it's just the term itself... blacklisting.
Sounds like a good old boys studios term that they all got together and decided to single out people... Like a conspiracy... And not let them find a job in Hollywood.  Back in the 1940s & 1950s all you had to do was piss off one producer or director and you were out of work anywhere.  It's probably not too that extreme today, but still works that way when for whatever reason no studio wants to work with certain actors... And you are "out" everywhere.

Some are completely understandable.

( taken from a Facebook site)
Some are a bit of a shock.

And some are no doubt the result of expressing their personal
Beliefs or feelings at a professional level
Concerning controversial topics.

Political... religious... social issues.
You name it and today's atmosphere where no one can agree to disagree on anything, and judge and condenn others because they either want to force their beliefs upon others,  or have others views forced upon them... Well,  there's always controversy.
It's never good for business.

One would think that public figures and especially businesses would refrain for expressing the views in fear of the backlash.
It never works out for them,  but they still do it knowing that backlash could cost them dearly.

Take for example Disney,  and how they jumped into state government politics and all the problems it caused them.

Local businesses that openly expressed their views on controversial social issues... black lives, lgbtq, abortion... and suffered extreme backlash... Protesters and community outrage...
Loosing business or having to shut down.
You would think they would have better sense.
In today's social climate, there will always be some group
That's is offended by any stand on any issue.
And there will always be backlash

Recently listening to people under 40, especially Gen Z,
They feel they have the right to express their controversial
beliefs and condemn anyone that thinks differently.
Then get upset when they are opposed.

I just visited sit back... Watch and listen...
While they make them own lives filled with drama.
Sometimes I think they live for it...
It's their all consuming nature to be controversial.

And they wonder why they are not happy.

ALWAYS  A CONTROVERSY
Peta telling others how to live...

Local business rebuttal

A recent festival...
There was rib festival
For Beef and pork ribs.
People protested, handing out fliers and
Telling attendees that didn't share their views
That they were animal killers... murders.

I saved my baby back bones to give to them
as I left the festival.
