Haunting memories...
premonitions of the past?
Some things in the past, even before you were born, have an all consuming fascination to something which cannot be explained. You are drawn into every bit of an event as if you experienced it first hand.
A haunting obsession of a past event that has somehow manifested itself into your very being. And unexplained all-consuming attraction that has been part of your life since childhood. For me, one of those attractions has to do with the Titanic. Why? Unknown. No doubt some supernatural reason beyond logic or understanding. If you are open minded, some might say reincarnation. Not really sure about that.
Genetic memory is something a little different. Some research has been done to forward the theory that traumatic events of the past have been encoded in the DNA of your ancestors and passed down to you. Not a clear concept of actual events, but a sense of inklings of past events that are encoded into DNA memory that influence your conscious thought and personality... and accordingly fears. As a consequence... all my life it has left me with a unrealistic fear of drowning, even though they'll never even came close.
Maybe nothing to it... or it could explain some things.
