Behind the times...

As in 60+ years.

I remember as a kid, the topic came up with government and adults, to change over to the metric system. Seemed like the government was for it... but adults like my parents, neighbors, and teachers were not in favor of the change. Most adults were extremely adamant about not making the change. We all would have been much better off if they had went along with the change. 
Why? Everything about our current system is pretty much screwed up. Cumbersome and add a date with the rest of the world.

Tell me that measurement again... 23 & 37/64 of an inch.

Ever tried reading 32 or 64 hash marks in one inch.

Tell me that isn't screwed up. Well, at least our number system is based on ten. Nothing about the "imperial system" is good... Measures,  weights, degrees, volumes... nothing. Yet here we are. 
Stuck with imperial sizes for tools and hardware while living in a metric world... where nothing matches... filled with the frustration of having to deal with two measuring systems.

So... how many countries are out of date... Behind the times?
