Writers

The Writers of tv shows & movies.
What can I say.  Just about every police show or crime movie has the same writers format. Add suspense and drama to the action by NOT shooting the perpetrator right from the get go. They either let the bad guy get away or they get away after they are caught... So they can wreak have on the world. Kill more people, blow up something, take a hostage, release a virus or set off a nuke.

And watching the show... you say to yourself...

Why do police always shout to the criminal 40 feet away...
so they can run? ... And they always run.
Why do police always say "stop, police" ... it never ever works!
Why didn't they shoot him before he got away?
(personally... shoot them in the ass... I'm not chasing them)
Why wasn't police watching the back door? They ran out the back.
Why didn't they just shoot him before he surrendered?
Where's the police sniper?  (head shot)
Why oh why... When police are chasing the criminal,  the criminal     got away ... The police sneak up on them... announce that they are     the police... then when the criminal turns to shoot at the police.
( I'm sorry... police... Shoot first,  then say "police".)
Shoot the criminal... Before they grab a hostage.
Why do 3-4 police go to raid a crime strong hold with just hand
guns... to face 20 guys with automatic weapons?
Why does a police team leave to drive all the way across town to           arrest the criminal or save the victum rather than calling in police     nearby to get there sooner?
Or sometimes when the police, via the writers,  don't make the smartest decisions. OMG... What are they thinkin?

Sometimes,  the writers are really annoying.

But from the writers perspective,  they want to keep the drama and suspense going.  Take the criminal down to soon and it ends the suspense.

But... I do try to dismiss those issues and enjoy the show... Mostly.
