What can I say... If you never used noise canceling headphones, than you don't know what you are missing. They block out noise around you for better listening pleasure. Additionally they block out what I would call "quiet ambient noise" so even in a quiet room it makes your music better than you could imagine. And one additional benefit... taking a nap in the afternoon, I'll use them (no music), laying on my back, and have complete quiet to enjoy a restful sleep.
