Well... Basically it's another issue about trans people.
Perhaps we simply need to look at each issue rather than choosing the two extremes... 100% for or 100% against.
In the majority of cases, trans girls ( born boys) could have an unfair physical advantage over naturally born girls. Most physical abilities give the trans girls an advantage... But not always.
The unfair issue might involve a trans girl advantage which might take away a scholarship or benefit that would have gone to a girl. And that doesn't seem quite right. Much like the use of steroids to give a unfair physical advantage.
But if the sport didn't have any future benefits, monetary or otherwise, I don't see the harm. It's all a game for fun. And given the physical conditioning of girls in sports, they are closest to being on par with trans girls... There's not much difference... Especially if it's a team sport. And there's no unfair advantage of trans girls if they were allowed on both teams. No different than recruiting very good players.
Besides... I'm not really sure how much of the issue is based on physical ability or more likely the phobias and prejudices towards trans girls. Talk about being unfair or unjust.
And in case y'all didn't notice, blinded by prejudice, the world is changing...whether you like it or not. They are part of today's society.
If on a case by case basis, a trans girl has physical abilities well beyond that of other girls, to constitute gross unfair ability, then there might be a question of fairness. But I'm sure that phobias and prejudices would deem all issues unfair.
So the issue will never be clearly and fairly resolved one way or the other. That's society today, there is no middle ground, no compromise, everything is an absolute one direction or the other.
Here's some information, to perhaps broaden your perspective.
