Hiking

Hiking your way back to better health...

Combining a healthy walk, aka, hiking, with nature and you have the best of both worlds. Going to a national park,  like Shenandoah National Park, not only makes it enjoyable,  but you have multiple trails to choose from... ranging from easy to more challenging, depending on your ability or preferences. Aside from the Appalachian trail, Shenandoah national park has over 500 miles of internal trails that you can enjoy. Many offer great views of the valley below, interesting rock formations, waterfalls, and streams.

You just need to be conscious of some patient dangers. Falling, watch your footing... bears, which generally will run away from you... and higher risk areas for snakes,  which will generally avoid you unless you surprise then our step on them. 

And it's always best to go hiking with friends or a group. Best with friends that have a good sense of humor... thus the shirt.
