Winter is Close...

Winter is close.. but stops at the mountains. 
Fortunately the mountains just to the west 

block winters bite of cold, ice, and snow.

Here in the Piedmont Valley of Virginia, 

We have been spared the extremes of winter,

But up on the mountain, just twenty miles to the west, 

It's drastically different.
