Truly a Shame... A Tragedy.

IN THE NEWS:
More and more people are dying from illegal drugs laced with fentanyl. It's such a waste. But who's to blame?
Given everything that's going on with illegal drugs and the fentanyl problem.... Why would anyone knowingly take the risk? Well, they take the risk because they don't believe that it could happen to them. It's not like gambling on a long shot with you money... It's gambling with your life. Not only is there the feeling that it can not happen to them, but they can not help themselves... They just want to or have to take the drugs. And like everything in society today, there's the overwhelming attitude that the consequences of their actions it's not their fault. Like drunk driving that results in injuries to others... The consequences of the decision, their actions, is not there fault.
BUT IT IS... AS ARE THE CONSEQUENCES.
Yes... It's truly a tragedy to have meaningless deaths... But they took illegal drugs knowing fentanyl risk. In the news this morning a 20 something young woman, supposedly took an illegal drug for the very first time in her life... And she died from a fentanyl lace drug.
Why? Knowing the risks. This is truly hard to understand... why do it?
Yes, the drug dealers are to blame for the fentanyl. But the people are willingly taking the illegal drugs... making truly bad decisions/choices... taking the high risk... and killing themselves.
It absolutely had to understand. I know about a 18 year old teenager that had a good life at home, but decided to smoke marijuana, got caught, got tested, and was given a choice. Stop smoking marijuana or move out of the family home. They had already graduated, had a job, paid no rent, got free food, only had to clean up after themselves and help with household chores. They decided that marijuana was more important... They were not going to give it up... And chose to move out... living with friends. It's truly a shame that marijuana should mean that much to them. Things are not going to work out as well as they seem to think they will. But what is done is done. They think their choices are good, they can't get addicted, and their job or driving will not be affected by marijuana.
DECISIONS...CHOICES...CONSEQUENCES
AND WHATEVER HAPPENS...
IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT.
This is what "generation z" is believing.
This is the mentality of people & social media interaction.
And no one can save them from themselves.
And all we can do it watch and hope for the best.
Until Tragedy hits them.
Until Tragedy hits them.
