Just thinking... I see dead people.
We have more choices than ever. Old movies and TV shows are available on the numerous media channels. It's like a trip down memory lane. All be it a shortened trip... a couple views of each show goes a long way. Some are one and done... like... how did I watch this all the time when I was a kid. Some are a bit more interesting...and some of the movies are really worth seeing again. It's nice to see some things the same as they were when you were a kid... Few things ever remain the same... Except for old TV shows and movies.
The downside... You cannot watch these old movies and shows with out thinking... Wow... All of these actors are dead! They've all died... Some long ago.
Then your own mortality creeps into your thoughts. A good portion of them died younger than your own age. Many of the rest died slightly older than you. And even on the best case scenario... The vast majority are dead by 75-80 years old... Giving you on average only another 10-15 years to live. Doesn't seem like a lot! Hello!
On the upside you think of all the medical advances that have been made to extend your life... Than you think about how the health care system works... Not much of an advantage unless you are rich... Reality sets in again... Depressed yet?
The moral to the story? Stay positive and make the most of the time you have left... Who knows, you may live to be 100. And... Stop watching movies and shows where everyone you see its now dead. Yes... I see dead people.. But only in old movies.
