The great American experiment is failing. Not because of its idealistic principles that it was founded on... But what it has mutated into. The unrestrained hunger to have power and control over every aspect of American life by politicians, the media, and religions. Opposing factions of each that not only seek to exert power and control over everyone, and blame all social problems on anyone else, not caring that they themselves are to blame for social problems today that continue to divide the country. Those in positions of power and influence do nothing to work together to solve problems... They achieve exactly the opposite... They create even more problems in society.
So what's the source of all evil? The same as its been for thousands of years. Politics & religion... made even more powerful and controversial by today's media.
The solution? Sadly...There's is none. Things will only get worse. Social division will only become greater. The flames of prejudice, hatred, and persecution are fanned by the media, and at the very least, there's resentment, unrest, and the feelings that things are hopelessly out or control. And while we have always endured the political and religious factions fighting over control and power, the media today is the greatest perpetuator of elevated tensions and social division.
If anyone stood on top of the hill and said that grass is green and the sky is blue, there would be numerous conflicting views each with their own reasons why this isn't true... each with their own agenda in mind, and each claiming that they have the solution... While each proclaimed someone else is to blame for alm the problems in society today.
Couple this with radicals, bleeding hearts, and special interest groups well stirred by the media into an emotional frenzy and we are on the verge of even more chaos.
Politics, religion, and the media will tell you what you should be offended by today and why... Compelling those prone to their emotions to rise up and act out on their discontent... so they can spread even more discontent and emotionally charged violence.
Just something to think about your day to brighten your day... Okay... Please don't think about it if you want to brighten your day. But you can always be hopeful, things change for the better.
