Killer thrillers

Killer thriller TV shows & movies.
Yes, I know it's just TV... Our just a movie.
But several things come to mind...
Like would they really do this in real life?
Would a rational person really do what they do in the movies?
Scenarios: (And the fix)
# It's a thriller,  a killer is on the loose, trying to kill everyone. "let's split up" ... Really? no way!
# You get the drop on the killer... So you want to talk?... nope, just shoot him!
# You are unarmed being chased by the killer with a gun... You surprise him,  knock him down to the floor,  the killer is stunned,  you leave him and his gun,  and run away ( knowing he is gonna get up, pick up his gun, and Chase you again). You run away?  Nope, pick up his gun and shot him!
# Don't want to kill the killer? Bad choice... But,  at least blow off both so knees so they can't come after you.
# Ask questions first?  Nope, shoot first,  ask questions later.
# Reason with the killer?  Nope, shoot first,  save the reasoning for when they're laying on the floor begging.
# Say "freeze"... nope, the only noise they should hear is the the shot just before it hit them,  surprise!
# You've got the killer,  they plead for they life, they're sorry,  we can work something out,  we can make a deal... Nope, don't think so,  bang!
# The killer threatens you with a knife.  You try to fight him & disarm him? Pull out your knife and fight?  Nope... Just shoot him...bang!
# The killer has a hostage and wants you to put down your gun (so he can kill both of you?) Nope... Ain't happening... Kill the hostage and you are gonna die!
# Where's your sense of fair play... The killer has a knife,  you throw away your gun and go after him with your knife?  Nope... bang! Moral to the story... Never bring a knife to a gun fight.
# The killer is running away,  you yell for them to stop?  Nope... I ain't running... bang... At the least,  shoot him in the ass, or both legs...ok...all three.
# One shot...the killer is down...assume he's dead? Nope... Two or three more shots to make sure... preferably one to the head.
Well... That's about it. Good riddance to bad baggage.
No trial needed... No Court... No judge... No jury... no jail for life plus 20. Oh yes... No further burden to society.
But that's just one point of view. 
Bleeding hearts would save them all for jail... Saying that execution is not a deterrent to crime. That may be true.  But just think about all the repeat offenders that won't be repeat offenders ever again. Problems slowly sound through attrition.
Of course this all from the standpoint of the movies. Make believe. Fiction.
Our just perhaps.... wishful thinking.
