Mountain weather

Mountain weather...
We always pick nice bright sunny days to go up on the mountain and today was no exception... At least that's the way it started. Bright and sunny afternoon gave way quickly to a storm rolling in from the west. The stormy weather stayed to the west side of the mountain so all we got was a heavy mist and dense fog. Some areas were completely clear and sunny,  then around the next corner completely foggy. This scenario repeated itself as we moved across the top of the mountain... Sunny... foggy...misty...sunny... foggy...misty. Quite the unique experience. We let the valley at 91 degrees and arrived at the mountain top at 75 degrees.  Fog and mist dropped the temperature to 68 degrees and the brisk breeze in the moisture laden air made it feel even cooler. Another great aspect of the weather... The deer came out everywhere... Quite the show. Another great day on the mountain.  Got off the mountain before dark,  lucky not to have rain of fog on the way down.  The simple pleasures of nature.
