Government Bans History

WHAT A WORLD WE LIVE IN.
Maryland government is trying to lead the way to ban civil war history. Civil war reenactments, known as an expression of living history, are now becoming a political issue. Arising from all the turmoil connected from those groups that find civil war history to be offensive and a detrimental negative influence on their lives today.
These groups claim that events from 155 years ago are to blame for their mental distress an anguish as well as their physical impact on their lives today. Their ability to live their lives, under the shadow of slavery from 155 years ago, is gravely impacting the quality of their lives today. It is preventing them from achieving their dreams and is to blame for their station on life... everything that has not worked out in their live is a result of civil war history and the slavery issue.
Today's society, the up and coming generation, more and more seeks to blame something... blame someone... blame anything... for their shortcomings in life. They accfamdeemed sresponsibility for their problems... they say they are not responsible, they are not to blame for any and all of their actions or inactions that negatively affect their life. Sad situation for the current mentality that is today's up and coming generation.
A rational person views this as nonsense... Grow up and get on with your life like everyone else. But this is the me generation where anything that is not in accordance with their beliefs or concepts for life... well... it is offensive.  They are offended.  The world is full of things we don't like... Most people ignore it and go on with their life. If a particular place, event, activity, or something is not to our liking, we simply don't go there. Freedom to live everyone's life is being is threatened by those that not only want their freedoms,  but actively seek to control our limit the freedoms of others.  They think they have the right to control the freedoms of others because something offends them. And when they don't get their way,  they insight and advocate social division and violence. More over, they influence government to react to what offends them, and to avert the possibility of violence, the government officials bow down to demands and want to remove anything... monuments, memorials, and any event that involves remembrance of civil war history.  So why do government officials give credence to their demands? Rather than telling them to "get a life" ? Well,  it's all political... Give them what they want to get their vote.
Sad state of events that perpetuates and rewards undesired behavior to the detriment of everyone's freedoms.

Some schools have even stopped teaching Civil War History completely. Some schools are teaching an expanded view of the war verses the soldiers that fought.
The underlying cause of the war, was for the south to preserve slavery...true. Also true... the vast majority of the soldiers (95%, depending on the reference), both north and south, were not fighting over the slavery issue. The southern soldiers were fighting because of the southern leaders propaganda that the southern states should govern themselves,  free of the controlling northern government. Southern soldiers were fighting for the rights to govern themselves and preserve their communities, their homes, and their families ...  and live their lives as they so deemed fit. Northern soldiers were fighting to preserve the Union.  The overall vast majority of soldiers on either side were fighting over slavery. Southern soldiers were not going to risk their lives over slaves... and northern soldiers were not risking their lives to free the slaves. In fact, when Lincoln enacted the Emancipation Proclamation the Union army faced a severe problem of desertion... which began during the battle of Fredericksburg and increased in January of 1863 when the slaves were officially freed.

So knowing history... it makes little sense to vandalizing and desecrate Civil War Graves and monuments.
It's simply activists that play on the emotional vulnerability of the less educated to create social turmoil and unrest... feed by the media frenzy to sensationalize their actions as being justified.

They are offended so its appropriate that to destroy, vandalize, and desecrate the graves and memories
of Civil War soldiers.

They believe that today's problems of injustice,
prejudice and persecution will be solved by
removing, destroying and eradicating history.

They think that because they are offended that they
have the right to infringe on the freedoms of others.

They justify all their actions because they are offended.

They really believe that this will change their life,
today, here and now, and all today's problems will
be solved by destroying and eradicating history.

They want respect for their cause.

WHO WOULD RESPECT THEM FOR ANYTHING?
There's a proper way to effect change...
this certainly isn't the right way.

POINT IN FACT...
THIS WILL ONLY MAKE THINGS WORSE.
