News

News here in these United States.
What a mixed bag of stories... a constant exposure to the news that they want you to hear.  Every aspect of every news media has agendas to report not only the news they want you to hear, but influence exactly how you should feel about what they are reporting. News reports will emphasize certain aspects of the news, while neglecting to report the entire story. They will sensationalize the story further influencing how you should feel about the news and what your reaction should be. So is the public being manipulated? The answer is yes... in varying degrees. We only hear what they want us to hear, and they determine what is news worthy... And what isn't... All in line with their many agendas.  The media also tried to influence your service of right and wrong. Agendas? Politically motivated... Most certainly. Financially motivated... Yes. Socially motivated... Yes,  because they want to greatly influence how you should feel,  and how you should react. Generally creating more social division.
The term... The freedom of the press... Makes you think the that you will get the whole truth about all the stories... And no one controls the media.  You will be given all the facts so you can draw your own conclusions.  That simply isn't true.
The rational thinking person will question everything and draw their own conclusions. A certain percentage of society will emotionally fall prey to the,  for lack of a better word... media propaganda. A mild form of propaganda to influence emotionally how people should feel. A good example is news that is politically motivated.  Four different politicians can do exactly the same thing... But one will be persecuted by the media, and the media will point blank tell us how we should be appalled, while the others exact actions will be justified and praised.
And it only seems to be getting worse.  This may seem to be an extreme analysis, but there's much more to it than people can just rationally explain away. There are no unbiased news reports.
Idoeno... I generally try not to watch the news... no wonder why.
