Nature Day...

The original forecast was sunny with some clouds... Then cloudy with storms. By 3pm mostly sunny with 10% chance of rain. So we went up on the mountain mainly to see the sunset over the valley and the mountains to the west.  Beautiful sunny afternoon.  91 degrees at home,  75 degrees on the mountain... Nice. Very unique evening... Clouds rolled up from the South West so e had a mix of weather... Half the sky was blue,  half cloudy. Hopes for a sunset was fading. Driving southward was a complete mix... Westward overlooks were completely were a complete white out with clouds/fog. Eastern overlooks were sunny, clear and blue.  Kinda cool... never saw this mix of weather before. We got to enjoy nature... Wild flowers, deer, unique weather... found a survey marker from 1965, saw a bear up a tree (about 50 feet away) and got the wonderful sensation of the cool misty clouds rolling over the mountain top... 69 degrees and the breeze swirling mist around us. Pretty unique day... and we still got to see part of the sunset as it dipped under the cloud cover.
