Pikes Peak... Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs is at 6,100 feet elevation. So if you're not use to the altitude breathing especially during moderate activities in noticeably taxing.
Going up to the summit of Pikes Peak at 14,100 feet will be extremely noticeable... and if you have health issues or breathing issues... It's best not to go there.
You can drive up to the peak... advised a half a tank of fuel... and the ability to defend in low gear not to over tax the breaks with could lead to break failure. ( this would be bad... Very bad).

I understand that you can enjoy a fun ride up the mountain @ $75 / person. ( not sure of this).
As for myself... We decided not to drive up the mountain, or more accurately, the drive down. Decided not to spend the $75 each to take the train.
Besides... The whole breathing issue could be scary.
But if you are healthy without issues it's an experience that might be one in a lifetime for most.
