Cuts in wrong places

Government Cuts...

I'm all for cutting all the free give a ways, career welfare, massive aid to other countries,  and all the wasteful government programs that have no benefit to the public at large. They should start with Congress... $175,000 a year plus perks, plus benefits... and half the time most are not there for anything. And those that are accomplish little for all the party bickering. Voting for wasteful programs, and giving out welfare in essence buying votes. They go to congress, collect big salaries, get free health care, keep salary & benefits for thevrest of their lives even when out of office. Btw... they all are multi millionares their first term.  They have no interest in the people, just themselves. 
Now they choose to cut programs that are beneficial to the public. 
Park service personal that don't get paid much for their service and commitment to nature & guests. 

NOW....

Ranger Smith (Mr. Ranger) lost his position as head ranger at Jellystone Park thanks to the DOGE purges.  He had been a career ranger who did his best to protect Jellystone and especially Yogi and Boo Boo (who didn’t always recognize it.)

Poor Mr. Ranger doesn’t know what he’s going to do.  Jellystone has been his life’s work.  As a ranger, his pay was meager, but he believed what he was doing was important.  He was part of something bigger and noble.  He was a guardian of our wild spaces, a teacher, an educator, and a protector of bears who got hooked on people food.

Fortunately, Yogi and Boo Boo are willing to share their pic-a-nic basket and companionship with him.

In reality, many wonderful park staff, about 1000 by last count, have lost their positions where they, too, cared for the parks, including hungry bears.  Like Mr. Ranger, their work was part of something noble, something Americans value  Now, the ones who are left fear for their jobs and for the destruction of our amazing park system.

What will become of our prized national park system?  What will happen to these stewards?
