WWII lookout towers

A bit of coastline history... World War II. Just one month into the war, January 1942, German U-boats patrolled the coastline of the US. The general public was never told how close the threat was. Lookout towers were erected along the coastline beaches to spot German war ships. Some of thise tower remain today... silent reminders of how the war in Europe was at Americas doorstep.

There may be disappointments on vacation... stores & especially restaurants... but nature rarely disappoints.

Sometimes even spectacular!

Seafood dinner

Family vacation... first clue... 4:30pm dinner time and the place was almost empty.

The place we were thinking of going to was packed.

Family dinner out. Cluse Seafood in Rehodoth Beach, the main tourist shopping street. 3 out of 5 stars at best. Looking for a good dinner. We got crab cakes 4/5. Baked seafood platter 3/5. French fries cold 1/5. Mac & cheese good but cold 2/5. Snow crab legs not properly cooked, meat stuck to shell, 2/5. 

Ocean scallops really good 5/5. All in all a barely average meal 3/5... at 5/5 prices. Attention to quality preperation offered was the biggest issue. Sadly... Mostly disappointing. Its sad that in tourist areas, restaurants pay little attention to quality offerings... guess they figure there's always another tourist to take their place.

 Expect to see monsters in the shadows,

and you will sense that they are really there. 

Happiness is indeed 

a state of your mind. 

 And so... Lessons learned in life.

Time...

Yon can't change it or stop it, 

You can't get it back. 
So make the most of it... Everyday. 

The illusion of time changing its speed. 
Going faster... Going slower. 
Just a false perception?

Or, Are there displacements in time? 
Just something to think about at 3:33 am.

The End of the World as we know it. 

Connected

It's all connected...

The earth's magnetic north pole has been on the move, and has increased in speed the past 50 years. 

As the magnetic north changes, it affects the tilt of the earths axis ever so slightly. 

As the tilt changes, again ever so slightly, the gravity of the sun and moon, slightly change affecting tectonic plates on which the land masses sit.

As the tectonic plates begin to slightly shift and move,

the result is more frequent & stronger earthquakes. 

Along with earthquakes, volcanic activity increases.

More frequent and intensified volcanic activity.

Historically a massive eruption could create nuclear winter, plunging earth into another ice age.

Cause and effect... It's all connected.

The good news... Hopefully it will take hundreds or thousands of years for catastrophic events to unfold.

And none of us alive now will have to worry.

As all this progresses...

Hurricanes & tornados will be more frequent 

and intense. Storms, floods, droughts, wildfires, 

high winds, and food shortages will all 

be greatened in frequently.  

Any of this should familiar? 

If you have lived long enough,  70-80 years, 

than you have seen the beginning of these changes.

Did I mention raising sea levels?

All part of the earths cycles.

The Egg

The Incredible Edible Egg... 

With all the egg shortages and the bird flu,

Eggs are getting smaller.

Still sold as "large" eggs at higher prices,

Eggs are barely small sized.

Clearly NOT large or even medium.

So... much higher prices,

And much smaller eggs.

People complained.

So now eggs are being sold with no

Mention as to size... just eggs.

12ct & 18 ct still say large,

Even though they are small.

But the big boxes... no size.

Eggs are all small or medium at best.

Time

It's just a matter of time...

But what if?
