The changing weather patterns 

Show on the deep south.

Along the Gulf Coast 
Louisiana,  Alabama, & Florida.

Pensacola Florida 7.6 inches. 
New Orleans Louisiana 100 year snow.

Last week in Virginia we got 8 inches

Deepest snow for 7 years.

Unusually cold... below freezing daytime 

And in single digits at night.

Photos from the south...

We lived in Pensacola / Navarre Beach for three years. 

Had 1" of snow only once plus ice. 
I can tell you... They are not equipped for this weather. 
No plows, no salt spreaders, no brine treatment. 
And with all the bridges... they freeze fast.

We watched the local news...

Sand loaded onto a flat bed truck 

was being shoveled by hand

by 6 men on the flat bed 

on to the roads over the bridges. 
Yes, we were shocked. 
Totally unprepared.

They never get snow. 
7-8 inches of snow!

Paralyzing everything.
