Seven decades

Seven decades... three generations.
 Baby boomers to Generation Z.

It's been said that everyone is a product of their environment. And that is true, not only in cultural and geographic terms, but especially in time. And its been no doubt repeated over the centuries, but more conscious now than ever before.

Being part of the baby boomer generation we've experienced seven decades of change covering three generations. Influenced by parents and grandparents going back another two generations. My grandfather was born in 1898, so you can imagine how life has changed over 120 years. The influences that develop and affected our personalities and psychological perceptions of life.

So it's easy to see that being born in the 1950s,  there's a tremendous difference between us and Generation Z. It's hard to understand the personalities and demeanors of Gen Z.

Gen Z filled with anxiety letting everything adversely affecting them. Offended by everything. Acceptance of nothing that doesn't agree with their ideas or beliefs. Anxiety over things that have no effect on their lives. Mental and physical health issues are a major concern. But that's a perspective from my generation. Gen Z see themselves as being normal, self aggravated by everything going on in life, unable to enjoy any emotional peace. Argumental about anything and having a never ending willingness to force their beliefs upon others. They have a all consuming compulsion and inability to accept others that are different. They have the same compulsion and inability to simply let anything go... emotionally aggregating themselves. They think anything not in accordance with their thoughts is unfair and others are rude for not thinking a they do.

The contrast between baby boomers and Gen Z is tremendous. From my perspective... I'm greatly concerned over their emotional and physical wellbeing.  "Their"...  being my grandkids as young adults in todays world that is increasingly socially divided.

It's all hard to understand.
