Hard to believe

Had to believe... The 1960s... Space Shows

I briefly watched an old tv show

"Lost in Space"

How did we sit and watch those shows absolutely spell bound?

Tv shows and movies about space were the biggest thing.

Most started out as black & white broadcasts.

A few years before color tv shows came into being. 
Special effects were dreadful.

Stop motion animation. 

Dialogue was equally dreadful.

Costumes were really bad.

Lacking any sophistication ...

Acting, plot, or story line. 
Aweful effects for space creatures. 

And actors were clearly out of place. 
Guy Willians of Zorro fame... in space

June Lockhart from  Lassie...in space.

Lorre Green from Bonanza... in space.

Fred Astaire in space... crazy!
And many others that seemed out of place in space.

But... It's what we had... 

And in the new medium of television...

It was a wonder not be missed.
