Sat Tv ... vs ... Streaming Services
We have been with SatvTv ... well... it seems forever.
Sat Tv is getting much too high in price... And it keeps going ever upward getting more and more expensive.
The current experiment :
The current experiment :
While still having Sat Tv, we started watching some streaming services. Along with movies we get lots of favorite shows, both current and old favorites long since gone. And a huge plus, most are without those endless annoying commercials. So, this list is almost endless with all the choices. We get all the prime time favorite shows from all the networks.
On the downside... we can not get network programming outside of prime time. No daytime shows, and no local news. Turns out the only thing we will miss is Jeopardy & The Weather Channel ... unless we want to buy another service (not doing that).
So we have enjoyed Sat tv and streaming for a few months.
We get Amazon Prime and includes Paramount + (CBS) ... Netflix ( movies & shows) ... Hulu ( ABC & FOX)... Disney+ ... Vudu (movies) ... Peacock (NBC)... HBO Max ( comes with AT&T). CW app (free but with commercials).

SO THE DECISION WAS MADE... put Sat Tv on vacation for 6 months and just use streaming. We will not miss the endless commercials.
And with few exceptions we won't miss but a few shows. I'd say I'll miss the morning news, BUT IT'S ALL FILLED WITH NEGATIVES.

BTW... Some services were free included with Prime & AT&T. Some services are shared with family. And some we pay for. All in all... we spend 30% of what Sat Tv costs.
So far so good... so on with the experiment. Update later.
