Normal?

Normal ?
Probably Not.

A cloud that just appeared.
A cloud that doesn't move.
Not natural...
Supernatural.

It's probably nothing.
Everything is okay.
Nothing to see here.
Don't worry...
Everything will be alright.

On my mind...

On my mind...
Not all the time...
But mostly.

Yep... They were good.

Now you know...

Now you know... or you already knew...
Unless you thought you knew but didn't.
And you could have known if you knew.
And you could have unless you didn't.
But didn't even though you could have.
So... now you do.
Seriously.
Maybe.

Springtime

Springtime ... has arrived.

Any Spot

Knowing Every single location...

Things I knew... and didn't know...
DID YOU KNOW?

Some people are on the 1 watt program. Thus, dim the witted.

20. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day & while you walk, SMILE. It is the ultimate antidepressant. Preferably somewhere in nature.

Well... It's a nice thought... Not happening.
25. Try to make at least three people smile each day. Works like a miracle.
26. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts, and things you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment. Lost on the younger generations.
27. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a college kid with a maxed-out charge card. Idoeno... balance!

95%

Getting things right...

It's all about perception.  I think, after decades of growth and experience spanning two different centuries... Yes,  I'm that old... I get 95% of things right. The other 5%? That's when I do something stupid and get hurt. Yep, no body is perfect. Ouch... my head still hurts.

Family Photos

Family Photos...
Every once in a while I look at old family photos of my mother, father, and grandparents. The photos bring up many more questions than they do answers. I'm amazed how little I know of their lives prior to me being of enough to remember anything. I wonder what their day to day life was like. Their joys, their happiness, and what they had to overcome. So many questions that will never be answered. Many had died before I was born.  Everyone else has long since passed away. So there's no one alive that would know anything. No records, no journals,  no diaries. Just old photos that survived by some miracle with few notes or dates. Some dated back to 1885. Sometimes the thought of a time machine seems very appealing. To go back to see and learn about their lives.
I guess the downfall of every generation looking back, is that when they had to opportunity to ask and learn about family history they were not interested.  And later,  when they wondered and wanted to know,  it was to late to ask... everyone has passed.

So all that remains is old photos and unanswered questions.
There's a lesson here...
Ask... befirevits too late.

Once upon a time

Once Upon a Time...
Memories

Need One

Not that I need another shirt...
But if I did...
I really like this one.

CUTE

Cute... Very Cute...

Eating healthy

Eating for a healthier life...

It begins as a tedious cumbersome process of not only researching healthier eating habits, but continuing to record and monitor everything you eat... Everyday. It's a long ongoing process.

It's taken months and years to get where you don't want to be... And it will take months to one again very where you want to be.  Your goal for a healthier life. Weight, blood pressure, blood glucose all considerations to be and feel healthier. These were my three goals.

My basic targets were... daily calories (<1800)... blood pressure (<130/80)... blood glucose (<110).

Ongoing... log everything I eat...
Calories <1800 / day.
Carbs <110 moderately active.  <135 active
Proteins ~120 ... balanced with carbs.

It's a slow process... but absolutely worth the effort.
For myself... my Bp is down... Bg is dropping... Weight is dropping.
Feeling better and looking better... Staying healthier.
Planning meals and shopping is at its core.
One of the most important aspects is not to deny what you enjoy... enjoy limit within your daily guidelines.
No pills, no medications... healthy choices.

My wife helps with my efforts to the benefit of both of us.
Electronics also help. Sometimes a bit annoying. Recording everything electronically synced to phone, tablet, and ... and smart devices.

Smart Refrigerators
Personally... not sure about this.

Theory... Real?

Theories...

Many times, theories based on highly probable conjecture of perceived  possible facts are later proven to be factual through scientific research.

Well,  that certainly seems to be a mouth full.
But usually proven true over time.

Misconceptions are put to rest.

New Revelations of knowledge are brought to light.

What will we know tomorrow?

Secrets lost or hidden in our DNA?
HIGHLY PROBABLE.

The theories of DNA memories seem highly possible.
Even from my own personal experience.
Our subconscious mind slightly accesses those memories
in a deja vu type of awareness. A shadow of reality.

Something to think about,
when you have one of those unexplained occurances.

That feeling of having been somewhere before,
Knowing that you never have.

That mental image of something not quite seen,
but a vision of something from the past.

Or that unnatural attraction to some event in the past.

Or even strong feelngs over historical events,
as if personally experienced.

Possibilities... Probabilities...
Someday to be scientifically proven,
as secrets of our DNA are discovered.

Very curious

Very curious and intriguing...

Time in a bottle...
Messages floating in a bottle.

It's the legendary things that stories are made of.
Treasure maps?
Calls for help, marooned on an island?

But something strange and unknown.
Strange and curious and bizarre.

My life as a book

My Life as a Book...

Something great to aspire too.

The benefits:
*First and foremost... My own mental health and well-being.
*The enhanced relationships with family & friends.
*The positive influence that you have on others.  In most cases you may never know the positive effects that you have on someone elses life. Some small thing that you may view as insignificant just might have a major influence on someone, especially young adults or children.

While most people would not have a book to convey the story of their life, today's media offers an alternative to everyone. Mine perhaps is this blog. Hopefully a positive influence on not only family and friends,  but maybe complete strangers. Not to tell people how to think or feel. Not condemning anyone for thinking differently. But offering a different perspective influenced by gaining lifes experiences, knowledge, and maturity that comes with age. All offered with one objective...  "take from it what you will".

Hopefully to influence younger generations... BUT given the outlook on life they currently have, it is doubtful that anything written would have any more influence than that of personal interactions. Most younger people have their own views and perspectives that are not open to anything different from their beliefs... not being open minded to anything contrary to how they think. Making any influence almost improbable. They are filled with drama emotional impulsive reactionary behavior that leaves no room for a healthy change.

So... Why blog? #1 for my own enjoyment. My own way to think and discern rational conclusions through writing. Sometimes vent, get something off my chest. And to Chronicle my thoughts and feelings and life's adventures... preserve memories.
But mostly simply share.

Sometimes just to my own amusement.
And perhaps that of others.

Photographs and memories.

Hopefully y'all have a great day. Enjoy.

Take me out...

Take me out to the ball game...
Take me out to the crowds,

Forget about peanuts & Cracker Jack...
Pit beef or Crab Cakes would make a great snack,
 and... how about
Pretzels & Tenders or a hot dog or two...
Ice cream & popcorn to mention a few.

So... Take me out to the ball game.
( I'm hungry)

Clearly I came for the game...
Food is certainly a bonus.

Time Warp

Time Warp or
Warped Time?
Back to the 1960s.
Now... is that from the future 23rd century to the 60s
Or the actual 1960s ... alternative reality?

okay... Dean was originally considered for
the part of Capt. Kirk.
Now there's a shocker.

1,000 words

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words.
They also say European cars are smaller.
