Every year coming into Halloween, the 1939 movie, The Wizard of Oz, was considered a classic and was shown several times on the limited three television channels that were available. And parents and kids alike watched it every year until somewhere in the 70s when it faded away... Only to become a distant memory thereafter. A marvel of cinematic movie making long since surpassed by technical special effects. Today only remembered by grandparents and great grandparents.
Like so many other classic movies that simply faded away into movie history. Like Disneys Treasure Island.
