I grew up seeing my grandfather in a state of sticker shock saying things like... 19¢ for a loaf of bread, that really burns my ass. He was born in 1902, so he grew up seeing prices like bread at 3¢ a loaf. His sticker shock price demeanor pretty much applied to just about everything. As I got older I experienced this same price shock demeanor, which had gotten more pronounced over the years.I use to say that I have become my grandfather. Most recently I have started to think that I'm way beyond that. My wife almost hates for me to go to the grocery store... $5.69 for a loaf of bread! That's f*****g crazy! But such is life. It's going to happen to everything eventually.
