Long term memory... Thousands and thousands of mostly useless things in long term memory. All there for instant recall at a moments notice. Even telephone numbers from 60 years ago.
Short term memory... There's no room left so... What was I saying?... Oh, short term memory is so limited that seemingly 90% is deleted immediately... Seconds after that thought crossed my mind. Seconds after you got somebody's name... It's gone. I'd say how many times I go into the next room for something and forgot why I went there... But I can't remember... I've lost count. Clearly too many. I was going to say something else... but... idoeno... Anyway.
Logical? ... Did you know that the logical part of your brain is only 25% ... So 75% is clearly susceptible to being completely illogical... or prone to ever increasing forgetfulness.
I don't remember where I read this... Our perhaps smoky made it up... But it sounds logical.
