The Philips Cpap Recall Disaster.
Some key highlights. Allegedly... Philips knew 5 years ago that the foam was dangerous, not only breaking down releasing particles directly into your airways and lungs, but also releasing toxic fumes into your lungs. They covered up the problem, and continued to put that unsafe foam into their medical equipment. Only revealing last June a voluntary recall just before the FDA issued a mandatory recall. The recall efforts have been much less than optimal, actually terrible for many that are still waiting since last June. And the new replacement foam being used for the recall, is coming under question. Now the FDA investigation concludes that at over 100 people have died due to the defective foam. And no doubt many will have lifelong health issues.
