It's merely an illusion...

( and not a good one) 

The Separation of Church and State.

Religion should not be allowed to influence laws.

At least that what the founding fathers wrote. 

Yet... Religion lobbies Congress

to enact laws to their beliefs,

and FORCE their beliefs on everyone. 
Countless issues. 

But to each their own beliefs.

Religions would be the first to rebell

If they had their freedoms put in jeopardy,

and were told what how they should live.

And what about judging others? 

It was once said...

If they want the right to influence laws,

then they should pay taxes for that right.
